Bring a Friend and Food to Easter at Gilead or Ada
Sunday, April 4
Gilead Road Services: 8am, 9:30am and 11am (regular Children's Ministry schedule)
Ada Jenkins Center Service: 10am (no Children’s Ministry offerings, but limited
childcare is available for children one to six years -no infants.)
Note:
When you RSVP, you will receive an email confirmation telling you to
"print your tickets." This is not necessary, we will not collect any
tickets for Easter service.
Two Service Locations, One Message: Illuminating Doubt
We
do not believe because we see the empty tomb, or touch Jesus’ wounds.
The resurrection is no metaphor or sweet spirit of goodness. Jesus is
alive and at large in the world and we experience His presence filling
empty lives, OUR empty life. Together, we’ll explore how Jesus
graciously comes to us in various ways, allowing us to see him in
faith.
What's Easter at Ada All About?
The Ada
Jenkins Center is a non-profit community center, providing much-needed
services to residents in Lake Norman’s surrounding communities (Exits
18 – 42). Services range from medical/dental clinics to youth education to a food pantry. Pastor of Mission Michael Flake will
lead the service at Ada along with live acoustic worship. We encourage
folks who love in the Davidson/Mooresville area, or those who simply
want to see one of our mission partnership at work to attend Easter at
Ada.

Missio Dei
We’ll
also respond to Jesus’ call to join His mission of love (Missio Dei),
by collecting pantry items for the Ada Jenkins Center. Guests attending
services at either location are encourage to drop off the items at
designated locations as they walk to Easter worship.
Items currently needed at Ada:
- Canned tomatoes
- Pasta Sauce
- Spaghetti

Hygiene products (shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
- Canned Beans (other than pork and beans)
- Canned Fruit (other than fruit cocktail)

Canned vegetables (corn, peas, greens)
- Detergent
- Diapers (sizes 3,4,5)
Volunteers are needed before each
service (Gilead Road only) and on Monday, April 5 (afternoon) to assist with the collection, if you are
